Aramex's courier tried to deliver the parcel to your address, but the delivery needed a payment that was not ready at the door. This usually means cash on delivery, or a fee such as customs charges or a service charge. Because no payment was handed over, the parcel was not left with you. It is still with Aramex, and a new delivery attempt has been scheduled.
This is an exception, not a routine step. The parcel is not lost, but the failed attempt will push delivery back by at least one attempt. How long depends on when the next attempt is scheduled and whether the payment is ready by then.
Aramex will usually make another delivery attempt on the rescheduled day. If the payment is ready, the courier hands over the parcel and the status changes to delivered. If payment is not ready again, further failed attempts are possible, and the parcel may eventually be held at a local Aramex facility or returned to the sender.
