What this status means
"JHBDC received" is a facility message from Buffalo. JHBDC appears to be a distribution centre code for Johannesburg, and searches link it to the Kempton Park area. The message means your parcel has been scanned in at that centre and is now inside Buffalo's sorting network. It is an in-transit step, not a delivery attempt.
Is my package delayed?
On its own, this message is normal. It is a routine scan that shows the parcel has reached a waypoint on its route. It only becomes a concern if the tracking then stops updating for longer than the previous steps took.
What happens next
The parcel is sorted at the centre and then moved on towards the delivery area for your address. You will usually see a further facility scan or a transfer message, followed later by an out-for-delivery update once it is with a local driver.
What you can do
- Wait and check the tracking again later. Scans can appear in batches.
- If there is no new update for longer than usual, contact Buffalo and quote your tracking number.
- If Buffalo cannot help, contact the seller, with your order details and tracking number ready.
- Check that the delivery address and phone number on your order are correct.
