The message is Italian for "verification for the release of the shipment is under way." Italy Post uses it when a parcel from abroad is held at customs in Italy. The parcel is in a customs or processing facility, and officials are checking the paperwork and contents before it can be handed back to the postal network for delivery.
This message by itself is normal for international parcels. Customs checks are a routine step. The parcel may sit at this stage for longer than the previous steps, but that does not usually mean a problem. It becomes a concern only if the line stays unchanged for a long time or the courier reports a hold or a request for documents.
Once the check is complete, the parcel is released and returns to Italy Post's domestic network. It is then sorted and sent toward your local delivery office. If duties or taxes are due, or if documents are missing, the courier may ask for payment or information before release.
