The sender has created a shipping label for your parcel and the label details have been sent to Purolator's system. This is the very first stage of the journey. Purolator knows the shipment is coming, but it has not necessarily collected the parcel yet. The parcel is most likely still with the sender.
No. This message by itself is normal and is not an exception. It only shows that the sender has prepared the shipment. If the status stays the same for longer than you would expect, the parcel may simply not have been handed to Purolator yet, and that is something the sender controls.
The next step is usually that Purolator picks up the parcel or the sender drops it off. After that, the parcel is scanned at a Purolator facility, and the tracking history starts to show real movement between locations.
