Canada Post tried to deliver the parcel to a business address and found the business closed. The carrier did not leave the parcel with anyone, so it is being held instead. It is usually at the local post office or delivery depot, not in transit.
This is an exception, not a routine step. The delivery attempt failed, so the parcel will arrive later than planned unless the business reopens or the delivery is redirected. It does not mean the parcel is lost or damaged.
Canada Post usually tries delivery again once the business is open, or holds the item for pickup. If the parcel is not delivered or collected, it may eventually be returned to the sender. Tracking will show a new delivery attempt, a pickup notice or a return step.
