Emirates Post

On Hold - Waiting for further action / Information

Emirates Post tracking parcel

What this status means

Emirates Post has paused your parcel because customs needs more information before it can be released. The parcel is held at a customs or processing facility in the United Arab Emirates and is not moving until the missing detail is provided or checked. It has not been lost or returned.

Is my package delayed?

This is an exception, not a routine step. The parcel will not move on by itself while the hold is in place, so the delivery will take longer than usual. How much longer depends on how quickly the missing information is supplied and reviewed. It does not necessarily mean the parcel will be refused.

What happens next

Once customs has what it needs, the parcel is normally released and goes back into the usual sorting and delivery process. If the information is not provided or does not satisfy customs, the hold may continue, and the parcel could eventually be returned or cleared only after further steps.

What you can do

  • Check for a message from Emirates Post or customs by SMS, email or phone, as they may ask you directly for a document or detail.
  • Confirm that your name, address and phone number are correct and complete.
  • Ask the seller for the invoice or a description of the contents if they are needed.
  • If nothing changes for longer than usual, contact Emirates Post with your tracking number and order details. Be prepared to pay customs duties if they apply.
