The sender has created the shipment in GLS Italy's system and the label data has reached GLS. The message is Italian for "the shipment was created by the sender, we are waiting for it to be handed over to us for delivery". GLS has not yet physically collected the parcel, so it is probably still with the sender, who may not have packed it yet.
This message by itself is normal. It is the first step, and it only means the parcel is not yet in GLS's hands. It becomes a concern only if the status stays the same for longer than you would expect after ordering, which can mean the seller has not handed the parcel over yet.
Most often, in about three quarters of cases, the next update is "Partita dalla sede mittente. In transito", meaning the parcel has left the sender and is on its way. Sometimes the earlier "Spedizione creata, non ancora affidata a GLS" message appears again while the parcel is still waiting. In a few cases the parcel moves on to a local GLS depot or is forwarded abroad.
