Customs registration number assigned

GUOO tracking parcel

What this status means

GUOO has recorded your parcel's customs declaration and the customs system has issued it a registration number. It always follows "Declared to customs". The parcel is in the customs handling stage, and this is an administrative step: the number identifies the declaration so the parcel can be processed.

Is my package delayed?

No, this message by itself is normal. It is a routine step, and the status code is a general one rather than a warning. Most parcels move on to a clearance message. A small share, about one in twenty, are refused release because documents are missing, so the steps after this one matter more than this one.

What happens next

  • Most often, in about two thirds of cases, "Customs clearance complete without payments".
  • Sometimes "Arrived at the customs" (about one in seven).
  • Less often, clearance with payments, "Parcel is on the way", or a wait for clearance.
  • Rarely, "Refusal to release. No necessary documents".

What you can do

  • Wait and keep checking the tracking history for the next update.
  • If a payment is requested, check that it comes from the courier or customs and covers import charges before paying.
  • If you see a refusal message, or the status stays the same for longer than the previous steps took, contact the seller first. Have your tracking number and order details ready, and ask them to supply any missing documents.
  • If the seller cannot help, contact GUOO with the same details.
