What this status means

La Poste has scanned your parcel as it leaves a sorting site on a long-distance truck or other bulk transport, which is the "linehaul" leg. The parcel is not at your door or at a local delivery office. It is in the main network, travelling between large processing centres. Some Chronopost parcels, which are part of the same group, show the same wording.

Is my package delayed?

No. This message by itself is normal and is a routine movement scan. It means the parcel has left one facility and is on its way to another. A delay would only be a concern if the tracking stays on this line for longer than the previous steps took and no new scan appears.

What happens next

The parcel will usually be scanned on arrival at the next hub or sorting centre. After that it moves on to a local delivery depot, and then out for delivery or to a pickup point. International parcels may pass through customs first. Some scans can appear late, so the history may jump forward by more than one step at once.

What you can do

  • Wait and check the tracking again later. No action is needed from you now.
  • Make sure your delivery address and phone number are correct in your order.
  • If the status has not changed for longer than usual, contact the seller first, then La Poste or Chronopost.
  • Have your tracking number and order details ready when you do.
