Latvia Post tracking parcel

What this status means

Latvia Post has sent your parcel out of Latvia, and the electronic record of that dispatch (EDI, electronic data interchange) has been received. The parcel is no longer in Latvia's domestic network. It is on its way to the country of destination, usually handed to a transport carrier or a foreign postal operator.

Is my package delayed?

No. This message is a normal part of an international journey and is not an exception. On its own it does not point to a problem. The parcel is between countries, so updates may be less frequent than inside one country.

What happens next

Most often, in about three cases out of five, the next update is "Item arrived at office of exchange". That is the border-side office where the destination country's postal service takes over. Less often you may see "Item sent to delivery" or a message saying the item has arrived in the destination country. After that the parcel goes through customs checks, if needed, and local sorting before delivery.

What you can do

  • Wait and keep checking the tracking history. A gap between scans is common during international transport.
  • If the parcel has not moved on for longer than the previous steps took, contact the seller first.
  • If the seller cannot help, contact Latvia Post with your tracking number and order details.
  • Customs duties or fees may apply once the parcel reaches your country.
