What this status means
RR Donnelley has assigned your parcel to a master air waybill (MAWB), the single document that covers a whole consignment of parcels flying together. The parcel is still with RR Donnelley or its handling partner, packed and ready to be sent as part of that air shipment. It has not yet reached the destination country.
Is my package delayed?
No. This message by itself is a normal step. It almost always follows "The item is ready for shipment", and it means the parcel is being grouped into a bulk air shipment. Because parcels travel together, the next update can take longer than the previous steps.
What happens next
Most often, in about three cases out of five, the next update says the freight handler received the Notification of Arrival, meaning the shipment is landing or has landed. Less often you will see:
- customs pre-declaration received (about one in eight)
- ready for transport to the last mile carrier
- handed over in bulk, final acceptance to be confirmed
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking. Updates may pause while the shipment is in the air.
- If the status stays the same for longer than usual, ask the seller to confirm the parcel was dispatched.
- If the seller cannot help, contact RR Donnelley. Have your tracking number and order details ready.
- Be prepared for possible customs duties or taxes once the parcel reaches the destination country.
