Slovak Post (Slovenská pošta) is the national postal operator responsible for sending and delivering mail within Slovakia, also works with international mail, cooperating with all world delivery services. The company has about 1,600 branches throughout the country; it is one of the leaders among the largest postal enterprises in Slovakia. It was founded on January 1, 1993 after recognizing its sovereignty and independence.
