"Scheduled for despatch" means Australia Post has your parcel at one of its facilities and has lined it up to leave on its next outbound transport. It is between sorting and departure. The parcel is inside the network, not yet on its way to a new location. It does not mean it is out for delivery today.
This message by itself is normal. It is a routine step, and most parcels that show it move on to a processing or transit update. Only if the status stays the same for longer than the previous steps took should you treat it as a possible delay.
Most often the next update is "Processed through facility", followed by another "In transit" entry or "Arrived at facility" as the parcel reaches its next stop. Less often you may see a further sorting scan. For international parcels, the next step can be "Cleared and awaiting international departure". In rare cases the parcel is placed on hold, shown as "Held - Awaiting further instructions".
