Austrian Post will not simply drop the parcel at your door. The delivery has to be arranged with you, or with whoever receives mail at the address, for an agreed time. The parcel is at a local delivery base or with the carrier, and the next step is to settle when it will arrive. This is common for larger or special items, and for parcels that need a signature or a handover in person.
This message by itself is normal and not a sign of a problem. The parcel is close to its destination. The wait for an appointment can make the delivery take longer than the earlier steps, because it depends on a time that suits both sides. A few parcels with this message later show a missed delivery or a refusal, so the arrangement is worth taking seriously.
The path varies. Most often the parcel goes back to "Item is out for delivery", or it is shown as distributed again while the appointment is arranged. In some cases the parcel is delivered directly, including to an authorized representative. Less often the carrier records that nobody was available and leaves a notification.
