Spain Post

Pre-registered, Shipment has been pre-registered in the Correos systems, pending deposit

Spain Post tracking parcel

What this status means

The sender has created the shipping label and entered the parcel into the Correos system. "Pending deposit" means Correos has not yet physically received it. The parcel is usually still with the sender, or on its way to a Correos drop-off point or collection.

Is my package delayed?

By itself, this message is normal. It is the first step, and it only says that the label exists. If the parcel stays at this step for longer than usual, the sender may not have handed it over yet. It is not a sign of loss.

What happens next

Once Correos takes the parcel in, the next update is most often "Accepted", which confirms it was received at the point of origin. In about a third of cases the next update is "Classified" at a logistics centre. After that, the parcel moves through sorting centres towards the delivery area.

  • Accepted at the point of origin: about half of cases
  • Classified in the logistics centre: about one third

What you can do

  • Wait and keep checking the tracking history for a new scan.
  • If nothing changes for longer than you would expect, ask the seller whether the parcel has been handed to Correos yet.
  • If the seller confirms it was handed over but there is still no scan, contact Correos. Have your tracking number and order details ready.
