What this status means
DHL Parcel Netherlands could not read or match the delivery address on your parcel automatically. The label details looked incomplete or inconsistent, so a person at a sorting facility is checking and correcting the address by hand. The parcel is still in DHL's network, early in its journey, and has not yet been fully processed.
Is my package delayed?
This is an exception rather than a routine step, and it does add a delay because the parcel waits for a manual check. It does not usually mean the parcel is lost or being returned. In every case where this message appeared, the next update was that the parcel was received in a sorting center, which suggests the check was resolved and the parcel moved on.
What happens next
Once the address is corrected, the parcel is scanned in at a sorting center with the message "Received in sorting center, awaiting the data". From there it is sorted and sent on toward delivery like any other parcel. The wait at this step may be longer than the previous steps.

- Wait and keep checking the tracking history for the sorting center update.
- Compare the address you gave the seller with your order confirmation, looking for a missing house number, postcode or apartment detail.
- If you find a mistake, or the status does not move on for longer than usual, contact the seller first, as they can correct the address with DHL.
