What this status means

"TASK ASSIGNED" is an internal handling step at Emile Corp. Your parcel is inside the courier's network, usually at a transit hub, and the next job for it has been assigned: sorting it, moving it to another site, or loading it for onward travel. The parcel has not been delivered yet. It is still moving between facilities.

Is my package delayed?

This message by itself is normal. It most often appears right after the parcel arrives at a transit hub, and it is rarely followed by a delay notice. Only if the same line stays at the top of your history for longer than the previous steps took, or if a "delivery may be delayed" or "delivery exception" message appears, is there reason to look closer.

What happens next

  • Most often, in about half of cases, the next message is "ORDER SORTED".
  • In a bit under a third of cases, it is "OUTBOUND SCANNED": the parcel has left the facility.
  • Sometimes "TASK ASSIGNED" appears again as the parcel gets another handling task.
  • Delivery usually follows only after several more scans.

What you can do

  • Wait and check the tracking history again later. Nothing is needed from you at this step.
  • If there is no new scan for longer than usual, contact Emile Corp and ask where the parcel is.
  • If that does not help, ask the seller or marketplace to investigate.
  • Have your tracking number and order details ready when you get in touch.
