GLS tried to deliver your parcel, but the driver could not complete the delivery because the address was not enough to find you. Typical causes are a missing apartment or floor number, a name that does not match the doorbell or mailbox, or a building with several entrances. The parcel is still with GLS, usually on the delivery vehicle or back at the local depot.
This is an exception, not a routine step. The parcel has not been lost, but the delivery attempt failed, so the delivery will take longer than planned until the address problem is sorted out. It does not by itself mean the parcel will be returned.
GLS usually tries to clarify the address, either by checking the details with the sender or by contacting you. Once the details are clear, the parcel goes out for another delivery attempt. If the address cannot be clarified, the parcel may be held at the depot or sent back to the sender.
