Pakistan Post's "Return item from customs in destination country" means the parcel has come back from the customs inspection in the country it is being sent to. Here "return" refers to the parcel coming back into the postal system, not being sent back to the sender. The parcel has been handed back by customs to the destination country's postal operator and is physically at its office of exchange or a sorting facility there. The status is recorded as customs clearance complete.
This message by itself is normal and is a positive step. It usually means customs has finished with the parcel. A delay is only likely if the next update takes longer than usual, or if the parcel goes back to customs, which happens in about one fifth of cases.
Most often, in about seven cases out of ten, the parcel is sent on to a domestic location in the destination country, meaning it moves on through the local postal network. Less often it goes to customs again, is sent out of a sorting centre, or arrives at a collection point for pick-up.
