USPS

Delivered to Agent, Left with Individual

USPS tracking parcel

What this status means

USPS has handed the parcel over, and the journey is finished. "Delivered to Agent" means the carrier gave it to someone other than you who can receive mail on your behalf, rather than leaving it at the door. "Left with Individual" means it went to a person in person, for example a family member, a housemate, a neighbor, a front-desk clerk or a mailroom worker at your address.

Is my package delayed?

No. This message by itself is normal and marks a completed delivery. The only concern is if you did not receive the parcel and cannot find out who accepted it. In that case, treat it as a possible misdelivery rather than a delay.

What happens next

Nothing further should appear in the tracking history. The parcel is not expected to move again. The person who took it is expected to pass it on to you, or to keep it somewhere safe at the address until you collect it.

What you can do

  • Ask people in your household, neighbors, and your building's front desk or mailroom whether someone signed for it.
  • Check the address on your order to make sure it is correct and complete, including any apartment or unit number.
  • If it is still missing, contact your local post office with your tracking number and ask who received it.
  • If that does not help, contact the seller with your order details and tracking number so they can start a claim.
