Aramex tracking parcel

What this status means

Aramex has handed your parcel to the customs authority of the country it is entering, or is working with customs on it. The parcel is held at a customs area or an Aramex facility while officials check the paperwork and, in some cases, the contents. This is a standard step for any international shipment.

Is my package delayed?

This message by itself is normal. Every parcel crossing a border goes through this stage. Customs checks can take longer than the previous steps, especially if the declaration is incomplete or the parcel is picked for a closer look. If the status stays unchanged for much longer than usual, something may be missing, such as a document or a payment.

What happens next

Once customs finishes, the parcel is released and Aramex moves it on to a local facility for sorting and delivery. If customs needs more information or duties must be paid, Aramex or customs will ask you directly, and the status may mention that further details are awaited from you.

What you can do

  • Wait and keep checking the tracking history for a new update.
  • Watch your phone, email and SMS for requests from Aramex for documents, an ID number or payment of duties and taxes.
  • If a request has come and you haven't answered it, reply promptly, as the parcel stays on hold until you do.
  • If nothing changes for longer than usual, contact Aramex or the seller, with your tracking number and order details ready.
