What this status means
Bulgarian Post has received your outbound parcel at its international exchange station. This is the sorting point where mail leaving Bulgaria is processed before it goes abroad. The code (В 09) is an internal scan code for this step. Your parcel is still inside Bulgaria, and the next step is the handover to the foreign route.
Is my package delayed?
No. This message by itself is a normal step for every international parcel that leaves Bulgaria. It is not an exception or a sign of a problem. It would only be worth attention if the parcel stays on this line for longer than the previous steps took.
What happens next
In most cases, about 93 out of 100, the next update is that the parcel has been placed in a mailbag and sent abroad (code C 09). After that, tracking usually continues with the postal service of the destination country, and the wording may change to that country's language or system. Updates can pause while the parcel is in transport.
What you can do
- Wait and check the tracking again later. A gap after the export scan is common.
- If the parcel stays on this message for longer than usual, contact the seller first, or Bulgarian Post if you are the sender.
- Have your tracking number and order details ready when you ask.
- Once the parcel reaches the destination country, any customs duties or local delivery details will be handled there.
