DHL Parcel Netherlands has collected your parcel from the delivery route, a ServicePoint or a locker, and it is now waiting to be sent on to a sorting center. The parcel is usually at a DHL depot or on a vehicle heading to the sorting center. Most often the step before this one is "Returned from the route of the courier", meaning the parcel came back from a delivery round and is being moved on.
On its own, this message is normal and not an exception. It is a routine hand-over step between the local depot and the sorting network. It is only worth a closer look if the same line stays at the top of your tracking history for longer than the previous steps took.
In about three quarters of cases the next update is "Processed at the sorting center". Less often you will see "Sorted at the sorting center", "Arrived in your region" or "Relabeled". Relabeled means a new label was printed for the parcel, for example because of a routing change. After sorting, the parcel is sent towards the delivery depot for your area.
