What this status means
The TNT driver had your parcel on the delivery vehicle but ran out of time on the route, so it could not be handed over today. Nothing is wrong with the parcel or the address. It is still with TNT, usually at the local depot or on the vehicle, and is queued for the next delivery attempt.
Is my package delayed?
Yes, by a little. The delivery has slipped from the planned day, but this message by itself is not a sign of loss or damage. It is a minor exception caused by the driver's workload. In most cases the next update is the delivery itself.
What happens next
TNT delivers at the first opportunity, which usually means the next delivery run. Most often the next message is "Shipment delivered in good condition", in about three out of five cases. In the other cases the parcel shows "Shipment in transit" first, which means it is being moved again before delivery.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking history. Make sure someone can receive the parcel.
- If the parcel stays on this status for longer than usual, or the history stops updating, contact TNT with your tracking number.
- If the parcel still does not arrive, contact the seller and give them your order details and the tracking number.
