What this status means

"Code 6 | MRN:" is a customs-related checkpoint in Aramex's system. MRN stands for Movement Reference Number, the reference that customs authorities assign to a shipment's declaration. The line shows that a customs reference is being recorded for your parcel. The parcel is at a customs or clearance point, not out for delivery. The MRN itself is often left blank or cut off in the tracking text.

Is my package delayed?

This message by itself is normal. It appears in the middle of customs handling, right after the "going through customs inspection" step. It does not signal a problem. If the parcel stays at customs longer than usual, the cause is more likely a document or duty question than this line.

What happens next

Aramex often goes back to "The shipment is currently going through customs inspection", or posts another customs code such as "Code 1". Both are customs steps. Once customs releases the parcel, Aramex moves it on to local sorting and delivery.

What you can do

  • Wait and keep checking. Customs steps can repeat before the parcel is released.
  • Watch for a request from Aramex or customs for documents, an ID or payment of duties and taxes. Respond promptly if one arrives.
  • If the status stays the same for longer than the previous steps, contact Aramex customer service with your tracking number.
  • Have your order details and the seller's invoice ready. The seller can also confirm what was declared.
