"Arrived at inbound gateway" means your parcel has reached the facility where DHL Parcel Netherlands receives shipments coming in from abroad. It usually appears right after the parcel left an international sorting center. The parcel is now in the destination country's network, but it has not yet been sorted for local delivery.
On its own, this message is normal. It is a routine checkpoint, not an exception. If the parcel stays at this step longer than the previous steps took, that is worth watching, but the message itself does not signal a problem.
Most often, in about 45% of cases, the next message is "Sorted at sorting center in destination country". In a smaller share of cases the parcel goes straight to "Out for delivery with the courier". Sometimes it shows another arrival or processing scan first, which just means it passed through one more facility.
