What this status means
The parcel has reached a La Poste sorting site in the country of destination. It is inside the building, being sorted by delivery area so it can be passed to the hub or the postman covering your address. This is a late stage of the journey, after the long-distance transport is finished.
Is my package delayed?
This message by itself is normal and not a sign of a problem. Most parcels move on to a delivery hub or straight to delivery. Only a small share are followed by a routing error, a failed delivery or an address correction. If the parcel stays on this line longer than the previous steps took, it is worth watching more closely.
What happens next
- Most often (about 45% of cases), the message changes to "Your item has arrived at its delivery hub. We are preparing its delivery".
- In about a third of cases (36%), the next update is that the item has been delivered.
- Rarely, there is a routing error, a failed delivery attempt or a request to correct the address.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking history. Nothing is needed from you at this point.
- Make sure your address, including the building number, floor and name on the letterbox, is complete and correct.
- If a notice from the postman appears in your letterbox, follow its instructions.
- If the status does not change for longer than usual, contact La Poste or the seller, with your tracking number and order details ready.
