"Bubble ratio too large" is a note from 4PX Express's warehouse or sorting checks. It usually refers to volumetric weight. The parcel is bulky compared with its real weight, which often happens with light items in oversized or heavily padded packaging. The parcel is at a 4PX facility, early in its journey, and its size and weight are not matching what was declared or expected.
This message is an exception, though not always a serious one. It most often appears right after pickup, and in about 70% of cases the next step is "Shipment arrived at facility and measured", so the parcel simply carries on. In some cases, about one in ten, the parcel is instead returned. Any delay depends on whether the parcel can be repacked or re-rated.
