4PX has decided not to forward the parcel and is sending it back to the party that handed it over, usually the seller or the shipper's warehouse. The line most often appears after a failed handover to an airline, for example because the parcel was oversize, belonged to a restricted category such as magnetic items, or was blocked on the order. It can also follow a warehouse handling problem.
This is an exception, not a routine step. The parcel is no longer heading to you, so it will not arrive at your address unless the seller ships it again. Expect the journey to take longer than the original one.
Most often, in about nine cases out of ten, the next update is a new scan in Chinese saying the shipment has been collected. This usually means the parcel is back in the sender's hands or has been re-registered at the origin side. A few parcels get a second, similar scan instead. After that, tracking may pause or restart under a new shipment.
