4PX Express could not pass your parcel to the airline that was meant to carry it. The parcel is still in 4PX's hands at an origin-side facility or with its handling partner, and it has not been loaded onto a flight. Reasons given with this message are usually a shipment problem, such as size or weight that does not match the booking, or a block on the order.
This is an exception, not a routine step. It usually means the planned air leg did not happen. In most cases the next scan is a return message, so the parcel often does not continue to you. Occasionally it is rebooked and moves on.
Most often the next update is "Return to customers", meaning the parcel is sent back toward the sender. Less often it goes back into the delivery network with an "In transit" update. Sometimes the same failure message appears again before anything changes.
