Aramex tracking parcel

What this status means

Aramex is holding the parcel because the customs paperwork is incomplete: a commercial invoice is missing. The invoice tells customs what is in the parcel and what it is worth. The parcel has already been accepted and scanned at the origin office, so it is still at the start of its journey, not at your door.

Is my package delayed?

This is an exception, not a routine step. The parcel cannot move on until the invoice is supplied, so it will be held for longer than the previous steps took. This message is rare, and the follow-up messages seen after it were mixed: a new label being created by the shipper, or the parcel being returned to the shipper. Delivery is not guaranteed.

What happens next

  • If the shipper provides a valid invoice, the parcel can continue toward the destination country.
  • If the invoice is not supplied, the parcel may be sent back to the shipper.
  • A new shipper label may appear, meaning the shipment is being re-created and must be handed to Aramex again.

What you can do

  • Check the tracking page again for updates.
  • Contact the seller or sender soon, tell them an invoice is missing, and ask them to send it to Aramex.
  • If the seller cannot fix it, contact Aramex with your tracking number and order details.
  • If the parcel is returned, ask the seller about a refund or a reshipment.
