What this status means
DHL Express has received the payment for fees attached to your shipment, such as customs duties, taxes or other import charges, and has recorded it on your parcel. It is a payment confirmation, not a movement scan. Your parcel is usually still held at a DHL facility or in transit, and the payment clears the block that was stopping it.
Is my package delayed?
This message by itself is normal and is good news. It most often follows a hold while DHL waited for payment, so the parcel may already have lost some time. Once the payment is recorded, the parcel can move on again. It is not an exception on its own.
What happens next
The most common next step is "Processed", followed by "Arrived at Sort Facility". These show the parcel moving through DHL's network again. In some cases it goes straight to "Shipment is out with courier for delivery" or "Delivered". Occasionally a new hold or a customs update appears, which means another check is still open.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking your tracking history. A new movement scan should appear soon.
- Keep your payment receipt in case DHL asks for proof.
- If the parcel stays on this status for longer than usual, or goes back on hold, contact DHL Express.
- Have your tracking number, payment receipt and order details ready. If you are unsure why fees were charged, ask the seller.
