What this status means

"Back To DS" is an iMile scan. DS stands for delivery station, the local depot that handles final delivery in your area. The scan means the courier tried to deliver, did not complete the delivery, and the parcel has been returned to that depot. It is physically at the local station, not out on the road.

Is my package delayed?

This is an exception, but usually a minor one. A failed attempt means the delivery will take longer than the original plan. It does not by itself mean the parcel is lost or on its way back to the sender. Whether it becomes a real problem depends on the next scans.

What happens next

The depot normally prepares the parcel for another delivery attempt, and it is loaded onto a courier's route again. If the reason for the failure was not resolved, such as a wrong address or an unreachable phone number, the parcel may be held at the station or returned to the seller after repeated failed attempts.

What you can do

  • Wait and keep checking the tracking for a new out-for-delivery scan.
  • Make sure your phone is reachable and that someone can receive the parcel.
  • Check that the address and any apartment or gate details on the order are correct.
  • If nothing changes for longer than the previous steps took, contact iMile or the seller. Have your tracking number and order details ready.
