What this status means
4PX has recorded that the flight carrying your parcel has taken off from the airport in the country where it was sent from. The parcel has already been handed to the airline, which is the step that usually comes just before this one. It is now in the air or on its way to the destination country.
Is my package delayed?
No. This message by itself is a normal part of an international air shipment and does not point to a problem. Delays at this stage are unusual, because the parcel has already cleared the earlier handling steps.
What happens next
Most often, in about nine cases out of ten, the next update is "Arrival to the destination airport". In a smaller share of cases the next entry is a customs release or a note that a customs clearance agent has received the parcel. After arrival, the parcel goes through import customs and is then passed to a local carrier for delivery.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking history. The next update may take longer than the previous steps because the parcel is in flight.
- If the parcel has not moved on for longer than usual, contact the seller first, then 4PX.
- Have your tracking number and order details ready when you do.
- Be aware that customs duties or import taxes may apply once the parcel reaches your country.
