What this status means
4PX has handed your parcel to a customs clearance agent in the destination country. The parcel has landed, most often at the destination airport, and is now with the company that deals with import formalities for 4PX. The original spelling of the message ("destnation") is a typo on the courier's side and does not mean anything is wrong.
Is my package delayed?
On its own, this message is normal. It is a routine step for international parcels. Most often the next update is that the parcel moves on into the local postal network, or that customs clearance is confirmed. Clearance can take longer than the previous steps, but this message does not signal a problem.
What happens next
- Most often, 4PX reports the parcel as in transit through the local post or delivery network.
- In about one third of cases, the next update is "Released from customs: customs cleared".
- Less often, the parcel leaves a distribution center or arrives at a processing center.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking history. No action is needed yet.
- If the status stays the same for longer than usual, contact 4PX or the seller. Have your tracking number and order details ready.
- Check that your name, address and phone number on the order are correct, since customs and the local carrier may need them.
- Be aware that import duties or taxes may apply. If they do, you will be told how to pay them.
