"Transportation partner department" means a partner carrier, often one that handles the destination country or the long-distance transport. The parcel is moving between facilities, not sitting with a delivery driver yet.
Is my package delayed?
No, this message by itself is normal. It is a routine hand-off step and not an exception or a sign of a problem. It usually follows "Package is being transferred locally" and is followed by a scan at the partner. If the tracking then stays unchanged for longer than the previous steps took, that is the point at which a delay becomes likely.
What happens next
The partner facility should scan the parcel in. The next entry is almost always "Arrival at transportation partner department, waiting for processing". After that the partner sorts the parcel and sends it on, and later entries may come from the partner's own system and use different wording.
What you can do
- Wait and check the tracking again later. Transfers between carriers can take a while to show up.
- If the arrival scan at the partner does not appear and the tracking stays still for longer than usual, open a dispute or message the seller through the marketplace.
- Have your order number and tracking number ready when you contact them.
- Make sure your delivery address and phone number in the order are correct, as the final carrier will need them.
