What this status means
Yun Express has recorded that your parcel is with customs in the destination country and is going through import inspection. The parcel has arrived and is physically held at a customs or clearance facility. Officials may check the paperwork, the declared contents or the value, and sometimes the parcel itself. Most parcels reach this step right after "Start Customs Clearence".
Is my package delayed?
This message by itself is normal. Customs checks are a routine part of international shipping. It is not yet a problem, but it is a step where a hold-up can happen. If the parcel stays here longer than the previous steps took, customs is probably still working through it.
What happens next
Most often the next update is "Customs released - Import", which is the case for about half of parcels. Other common updates are a completed clearance message or a new flight or transfer scan. In a small share of cases, about 6%, the parcel is detained by customs. After release, it is handed to a local carrier for delivery.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking. Inspection usually needs no action from you.
- Check your email and messages in case customs asks for an invoice, ID or a duty payment.
- If the status stays the same for longer than usual, or shows a detention, contact the seller first. Have your tracking number and order details ready.
- Ask Yun Express if the seller cannot help.
