What this status means
Your parcel has reached the destination country and the import customs check has begun. It is physically at a customs facility or a sorting site connected to customs. Aliexpress Standard Shipping records this step when the parcel is handed over for the formal import declaration. It is a normal stage for every international parcel.
Is my package delayed?
No, this message by itself is normal. It is a routine step, not an exception. Nearly half of parcels move on to "Import customs clearance complete" next. About a quarter go straight to another transport step. A smaller share, about 8%, get a "clearance delay, we're inspecting your order" note. That is an exception, and it means the check is taking longer than usual.
What happens next
- Most often, the status changes to "Import customs clearance complete" and the parcel is released.
- Otherwise it may show a move to a linehaul office or sorting center, where the parcel is sent on toward your area.
- Less often, customs inspects the parcel and the clearance takes longer than the previous steps.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking history. No action is needed at this stage.
- Be ready to pay import duties or taxes if your country charges them. Customs or the local carrier will tell you if anything is due.
- Check that your name, address and phone number in the order are correct, in case customs needs to reach you.
- If the status stays the same for longer than usual or an inspection note appears, contact the seller or the courier. Have your tracking number and order details ready.
