Your parcel flew into a Dutch airport and a freight handler, a company that works for PostNL at the airport, has now picked it up from the cargo terminal. It is no longer on the plane or in the airline's cargo area. It is on its way to the next stop in PostNL's network, but it has not yet been handed over to PostNL itself.
No. This message by itself is a normal step for parcels arriving by air from abroad. It usually follows the airport's notice that the shipment has arrived, and it is not an exception or a sign of a problem.
Most often, in about nine out of ten cases, the next update says the shipment has been handed over in bulk and that final acceptance of the item is still to be confirmed. That means the freight handler has passed the parcel to PostNL, and PostNL will then check it in. Less often, the next step is receipt at a PostNL Acceptance Centre or a customs clearance message.
