What this status means
Aliexpress Standard Shipping handed your parcel to a logistics company, which took it in. The sorting center it was sent to then did not accept it. The parcel is still at or near the first handling stage in the seller's country, and it has not yet entered the main international journey.
Is my package delayed?
This message is an exception, though not always a serious one. In most cases the next step is normal processing at a sorting center, so the parcel carries on. In a smaller but real share of cases it is followed by a return. Expect some added delay, and the outcome is not guaranteed either way.
What happens next
- Most often (about two thirds of cases), the parcel is re-routed and shows "Processing at sorting center".
- In about 29% of cases, it changes to "Package returning" and goes back toward the sender.
- Rarely, a further problem is logged with a local delivery company.
What you can do
- Wait and keep checking the tracking history. Updates may come slowly after an exception like this.
- If the status stays the same for longer than the previous steps took, or it changes to a return, message the seller through the marketplace.
- Have your order number and tracking number ready, and ask whether the parcel will be resent or refunded.
- Check that the delivery address and phone number on your order are correct.
