What this status means
Aliexpress Standard Shipping (Cainiao) has no shipping route it can use to move your parcel onward from the sorting facility where it is now. The parcel is still in the courier's network, usually at a sorting center or transport hub in the country of dispatch. It has not been lost. The courier simply cannot assign it to a next leg.
Is my package delayed?
This is an exception, not a routine step. Parcels normally reach this message after arriving at a sorting center or transport hub, and the next messages are mostly return or exception handling. It often means the parcel will not continue to you along its current route. Delivery is not ruled out, but do not count on it.
What happens next
- Most often, the parcel is sent back from the line-haul stage to a domestic location (about 40% of cases).
- Just as often, it moves to exception handling in the sorting center (about 40%).
- Sometimes the same message is repeated (about 13%) while the courier looks for a route.
