FedEx has recorded a request to move the delivery to a different date. The parcel is usually already in the FedEx network, at a local facility or on its way there, and is simply being held to the new schedule. The request may have come from the recipient, from the sender, or from FedEx itself after a delivery problem.
This message is an exception, though not necessarily a problem. The delivery will not happen on the original date, so the package will arrive later than first planned. If you asked for the change yourself, that is expected. If you did not, the cause is more likely a missed delivery attempt, an address question or a local scheduling issue.
FedEx normally updates the tracking with a new estimated delivery date. After that, the parcel moves on as usual: it goes out for delivery on the rescheduled day, or waits at the facility until then. If the change cannot be carried out, you may see another exception message explaining why.
