What this status means
Aliexpress Standard Shipping, run through the Cainiao network, logs this message when a parcel could not leave the local delivery office or sorting point on its planned route to the final delivery or pickup location. The parcel is in the destination country, close to the last stage of its journey. It is not lost. Most often it comes after the parcel has left a sorting center or been handed over for line-haul transport.
Is my package delayed?
This message is an exception, not a routine step. It means the planned handover did not work as expected, so some delay is likely. It does not mean the parcel is lost or returned. Often the problem is on the courier's side, for example a pickup locker that is full.
What happens next
The parcel is usually rerouted. The most common next entry is a notice that the locker is overloaded and the order will go to another nearby pickup point. Next most often, the parcel goes back to "Outbound in sorting center", or it shows as arrived at a pickup point and ready for collection. Sometimes the pickup point is updated, or the courier asks the recipient to update delivery information.
