What this status means
Export customs in the country of origin has stopped the parcel because it contains something classed as a sensitive or restricted export. The parcel is being held at or near the export customs point, before it has left the country. It has not been lost.
Is my package delayed?
This is an exception, not a routine step. It usually means the parcel will not continue on its original route. Delivery as planned is unlikely, and nothing here promises a particular outcome.
What happens next
Most often the next update is "Returned to domestic location from line-haul", which means the parcel is being sent back within the origin country. In a smaller share of cases (about three in ten) the next entry is "Posting/Collection", which suggests the parcel was handed back into the network to be sent again. A few parcels carry on towards the destination.
